br03 sofa bed – Martin Visser – ‘t Spectrum

Sofa bed br03 – designed by Martin Visser for Spectrum (Bergeijk – the Netherlands) in 1960. This model br03 – with the square black metal frame – is one of the first versions of this sofa bed that Martin Visser designed. With a simple hand movement you can turn the sofa bed into a single bed. The seat and back of the sofa have been professionally reupholstered and provided with new hr-foam. The petrol blue fabric is from De Ploeg. The separate armrest ba02 can be placed anywhere between the backrest of the br03 sofa bed and the seat. Model br03 sofa bed is just like the br02 from Martin Visser a Dutch Design Classic.

Fun fact: t Spectrum was created in 1941 by the producer of high quality fabric De Ploeg. So upholstering the br03 sofa bed with De Ploeg fabric, feels like a match meant to be. A really good match.
