With Kvadrat Febrik newly upholstered 3 seater Ploum. The Ploum is a design by Studio Bouroullec, France for Ligne Roset. Brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec designed this super attractive, organically shaped and extremely comfortable sofa in 2011.

In the words of Studio Bouroullec: “We tried to make a very comfortable, contemporary sofa. An exercise in comfort, Ploum combines two materials: a stretch fabric cover and ultra-flexible resilient foam. The shape and huge proportions are (…) to allow the whole body to lie in many different positions on the supple, padded surface of this borderless sofa. The seat is relatively low, we wanted it to be organically shaped. We saw Ploum as a ripe, voluptuous piece of fruit.
Perhaps the use of a stretchy fabric is a symbolic parallel with a contemporary lifestyle, in which flexibility of use and comfort seem essential to us”.

This Ploum is professionally upholstered with a light green colored woolen stretch fabric from Kvadrat Febrik – Triangle 932. The seat and back of the sofa are padded. The Ploum is marked.
