Holmegaard, Denmark. Beautiful hand-blown purple glass base. White glass on the inside (vetro doublé) and a copper bar for the fittings. One fitting in the purple glass base, and one fitting under the shade. The lamps can burn independently of each other. The shade is not original and has two tiny brown spots next to each other on the edge. Beautiful Danish Design Mid Century Modern lamp.

In the 60s, Holmegaard flourished as a Danish glassblowing company, embracing modern design and collaborating with well-known designers. Holmegaard’s innovative glassware features clean lines, minimalist designs and bold colours. Holmegaard was a leading force in Danish design and left a lasting legacy in the world of glassmaking.
