Vintage Repose chair designed by Friso Kramer in 1959 for Ahrend de Cirkel (the Netherlands). Dutch Design avant la lettre and Mid Century Modern Design: the Repose chair was produced in the 60s and 70s. Friso Kramer is the best Dutch industrial designer. You can see that in this Vintage Repose chair. This design is playful because of the slanted legs and because the rear leg continues and bends in the armrest. The armrest itself is comfortably wide, smooth and soft. The backrest is high, which makes this armchair extremely comfortable. The black skai upholstery is original.
